Hylo airdrop guide: how to farm XP on Hylo (2026)

What is Hylo?

Hylo is a DeFi protocol on Solana that offers a liquidation-free leveraged SOL product (xSOL), an over-collateralised stablecoin (hyUSD), and a staked stablecoin (sHYUSD), all backed by Solana liquid staking tokens and designed to generate real yield without the liquidation risks that plague most DeFi leverage protocols. The protocol launched on Solana mainnet in mid-2025 and grew to over $100 million in total value locked within 136 days, making it one of the fastest-growing DeFi launches on Solana that year. It is backed by $1.5 million in funding from Robot Ventures, Colosseum, and Solana Ventures - three names with strong track records in early-stage Solana infrastructure.

The protocol works through a symbiotic dual-token design. When users mint hyUSD by depositing LSTs such as JitoSOL or mSOL, the counterpart xSOL position provides the leveraged SOL exposure. This means xSOL users provide the yield that hyUSD holders earn, and hyUSD minters provide the stablecoin supply that allows xSOL to scale - neither token can exist without the other. The sHYUSD staked variant (currently at around 8% APY with a $10.8 million market cap) adds an additional yield layer on top of hyUSD. xBTC exposure is also listed as coming soon in the app.

Is the Hylo airdrop confirmed?

Hylo has not confirmed a token or a formal airdrop, but it is running a live seasonal XP programme - currently in Season 1 after completing Season 0 - that explicitly mirrors the structure of classic pre-TGE campaigns and is the primary signal of a potential future distribution. The XP system survived the Season 0 to Season 1 transition intact, with all accumulated XP, Crowns (badge tier rewards), and boosts carrying forward. Private beta participants received permanent boost multipliers of 5%, 5%, 10%, and 5%. As of June 2026, Season 1 is still active with no announced end date.

Hylo also raised from Solana Ventures, whose portfolio includes Jito - which distributed a retroactive airdrop that paid early users $10,000 or more. The XP structure and backer profile both point in the same direction. No TGE date, token ticker, or allocation percentage has been officially announced.

How to Farm the Hylo Airdrop

To farm Hylo, connect a Solana wallet to hylo.so, mint hyUSD or buy xSOL to start earning XP, push toward Crown tiers for multipliers, use a referral code for a 5% XP boost, and deploy hyUSD into integrated Solana protocols for compounded XP earning.

  1. Set up a Solana wallet. Use Phantom, Backpack, or another Solana-compatible wallet. You will need SOL for gas and ideally a Solana LST such as JitoSOL to mint hyUSD directly.

  2. Go to hylo.so and connect. Navigate to the app and connect your wallet. The main tabs are Leverage (xSOL), Earn (sHYUSD staking), Stake, and Portfolio.

  3. Choose your position type. xSOL offers the highest XP rate (20x multiplier) and leveraged SOL exposure with no liquidation risk - ideal for users who want more XP. hyUSD (5x XP) is the stablecoin option for users who prefer minimal directional risk. sHYUSD is the staked variant earning around 8% APY.

  4. Mint hyUSD or buy xSOL. For hyUSD, deposit JitoSOL, mSOL, or other supported LSTs. For xSOL, you buy it with hyUSD. Hold these positions - XP accrues over time based on holdings, not just on minting.

  5. Stake hyUSD for sHYUSD. For steady yield alongside XP, stake your hyUSD to receive liquid sHYUSD at around 8% APY.

  6. Deploy hyUSD into ecosystem protocols for bonus XP. Hylo integrates with Kamino (provide liquidity in hyUSD-JitoSOL vaults for Kamino Multiply XP multipliers), Exponent Finance (hyloSOL is listed - trade fixed vs variable yield for additional XP multipliers on select Exponent markets), and Rate-X (Solana yield trading protocol that supports hyloSOL positions). These integrations are confirmed live and can stack XP on top of your base holding rate.

  7. Use a referral code on signup. A referral code gives you a 5% permanent XP boost. Look for one from the community or use an active community code - this stacks on all future earnings.

  8. Earn Crowns (badge tiers). As you accumulate XP, you progress through Crown tiers which provide permanent multiplier boosts. Reaching higher Crown tiers early gives a compounding advantage since the multipliers apply to all future XP.

  9. Stay consistent through seasons. XP from Season 0 carried into Season 1 with no resets. Long-term holding rewards consistency over spikes of activity.

How much does it cost to farm Hylo?

Farming Hylo requires depositing real capital - LSTs or SOL - to mint hyUSD or hold xSOL, plus Solana network gas which is typically under $0.01 per transaction. There is no minimum deposit listed on the protocol, but practical farming requires enough capital to meaningfully accrue XP over time.

The main risk cost is directional exposure. xSOL holders are leveraged long on SOL, so price drops reduce the value of xSOL positions. hyUSD holders are protected from SOL price risk in normal conditions, but the stability pool can auto-convert sHYUSD into xSOL if SOL's price causes the collateral ratio to drop toward 130% - a built-in protection mechanism that redistributes risk to the stability pool. At the time of writing, the collateral ratio is 136.29%, with the stability pool trigger at $60.07 SOL price.

Is Hylo safe and legit?

Hylo is a real, live protocol on Solana mainnet with over $100 million in TVL at peak, backing from respected Solana investors, and a working dual-token system - but it is a novel design with smart-contract risk and specific collateral mechanics users should understand before depositing.

The LST-backed collateral model and liquidation-free design are genuine innovations, but the protocol's safety relies on the collateral ratio remaining above the stability pool trigger. Users who hold sHYUSD should understand that a sharp SOL price drop could result in partial conversion of their position into xSOL. Always use only official links (hylo.so), verify you are on the correct Solana network, and only deposit capital you can afford to have at risk. The protocol has no official auditor listed publicly on the homepage at time of writing - check the official docs for the latest security information before depositing.

Hylo Airdrop FAQ

How do I earn XP on Hylo?

XP is earned by holding Hylo protocol assets over time. xSOL provides the highest XP rate at a 20x multiplier, hyUSD earns at a 5x multiplier, and sHYUSD also accrues XP. Additional XP comes from providing liquidity on Kamino vaults (hyUSD-JitoSOL), using Exponent Finance markets (4x multiplier on select markets, confirmed active), using Rate-X for hyloSOL yield trading, referring others (5% boost per referral), and reaching Crown badge tiers which provide permanent multipliers stacked on top of all other rates.

Does Hylo have a token?

No token has been launched as of June 2026. Hylo is running XP Season 1, which follows Season 0 with all XP, Crowns, and boosts carrying forward. No TGE date, token ticker, or airdrop allocation percentage has been officially announced. Any token claiming to be from Hylo before an official team announcement should be treated as a scam.

What is xSOL and how is it different from a regular leveraged token?

xSOL is Hylo's leveraged SOL exposure token backed by LSTs. Unlike traditional leveraged tokens, xSOL has no liquidation risk and no funding fees. Its price adjusts automatically based on the protocol's collateral pool total value and hyUSD supply. Current effective leverage is approximately 3.75x, which adjusts dynamically with the protocol's collateral ratio rather than being fixed.

Can I use Exponent Finance or Rate-X with Hylo assets?

Yes - both are confirmed live integrations. Exponent Finance (a Solana yield-trading protocol) listed hyloSOL markets with a 4x XP multiplier on select positions during Season 0, meaning using Exponent with Hylo assets earned significantly boosted XP versus holding directly. Rate-X, another Solana yield trading protocol, also supports hyloSOL. Both represent more advanced farming strategies that layer additional yield and XP on top of base Hylo positions. Check both apps for current availability and active multipliers before deploying.

What is the difference between hyUSD and sHYUSD?

hyUSD is the over-collateralised stablecoin that earns base XP and can be deployed across the Solana DeFi ecosystem. sHYUSD is the staked variant - stake hyUSD to receive liquid sHYUSD and earn approximately 8% APY on top of your XP accumulation, with no lockup. sHYUSD is also part of the stability pool that helps protect the protocol's collateral ratio.

Is Kamino relevant for Hylo farming?

Yes. Kamino is a confirmed Hylo integration partner. Providing liquidity in Kamino vaults such as hyUSD-JitoSOL gives additional XP multipliers on top of the standard Hylo XP rate. This is one of the highest-yield XP configurations available on the protocol, combining Hylo XP with Kamino's own liquidity incentives simultaneously.
